First of a series. Features lucid-dreamy, cloud-watching house from Japan’s Thrushez (Ume Records) and Italy’s Robotalco (100% Silk),
a wickedly weird modular/voice duet from Montreal’s 3rd Kind, and shapeshifting electromagnetic dub techno from OACEM (Montreal via Morocco, last seen on Quanta records). Plus a summery slow bouncer from Vertigo inc and a very wonky grumbling bumbler from newcomer MSD.

OACEM’s tracks stretch out like long meditations, shifting tectonics and tones. Haunting and complex, they demand sustained listening.
Thrushez weaves effervescent and soft focus house that feels like yearning. Robotalco’s Karuta is like a half-remembered dream, a consciousness drifting between memories and melodies, tied to a loose, shuffling groove. 3rd kind blends ghostly, improvised vocalizations with fractured and halting modular rhythms - technoid freejazz whispers from a mutant future.
